About Mikayla

My career in elementary education started in 2020 at College of Southern Nevada. I graduated with my associates in elementary education and currently work for CCSD as a teachers assistant for an autism classroom. I currently attend UNLV and am working to become a 1st grade classroom teacher. I love children and love to watch them succeed in everything they do. I had experience babysitting growing up and it made me realize what kind of impact I can give and help others achieve. I want to offer consistency for parents and take away anxiety that comes with trusting others with their most precious gift that their life was given. With this career path, I also have a passion of taking care of animals. I own 3 cats and have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life. Children and animals are the only things in life that show me there is good in the world, and I'm lucky enough to have a career and life that gives me such an amazing opportunity to encompass it all.
