About Mikal

Hello my name is Mikal and I understand that balancing parental duties and work life is a tough task, so I hope to lighten the load and positively impact the Care. Com community with my 20 years of experience. Personally, having a daughter with Autism and a son who is Hearing Impaired gives me the compassion needed to make children feel safe and cared for. Professionally, I'm a First Responder within the FDNY, certified in CPR, AED use, wound care, trauma care, etc., all of which allows me to better help out caring for your children - especially when it comes to swimming supervision, carpooling and general activities. I've also worked in many programs that serve youth such as the Big Brother Big Sister, SCO Family of Services, and Upward Bound. Through these programs, I was able to give families a peace of mind when their child(ren) were in my care, while helping out with teaching, homework help, mentoring, respite care and coaching.
