About Mikaela

As someone who has played several instruments most of my life, I am very comfortable with teaching early to intermediate piano, music theory and technique, and teaching flute for all ages and levels. I have played flute for almost 10 years, and have played in orchestras, bands, flute choirs, competitions, and scholarships. I understand both the technical side of music, and the drive to play and create beautiful music. I have a very hands-on approach to teaching, and will employ lots of games, tricks, and seemingly strange techniques to get my students to learn. In the past, I have volunteered at a small private school to help teach music there, and I both loved it, and gained many helpful teaching tips there. I love to teach, and am getting my degree in early education. I can teach any age from 8 to senior adult. Contact me if you want to know more information.
