Hi! I have been working with the special needs community since I was in 6th grade. I was acting as a peer coach for the Special Olympics and I was actively involved in my high school's peer tutor program for the special needs. I was a one-on one tutor for a boy with Autism in Zoology as well as a group peer tutor in the Special Needs classroom for science. I also have babysat for a family with an infant that had Down Syndrome. I also did after school care and workouts with a 23-year-old with Prader-Willi syndrome. I have taken 3 years of American Sign Language and am confident in my abilities to teach a foundation of these skills to others as well as in my ability to communicate through ASL.
