About Mikaela

Hello! My name is Mikaela and I am a recent NYU graduate. The majority of my course load at NYU consisted of child development/psychology classes; and I loved every lecture. I think it is incredibly interesting to analyze the impact a child's environment and early life experiences have on their overall growth. One of the most valuable teachings I learned was that children remember whether or not they had people who supported them and took care of them during their younger years. It is such an important responsibility to assure kids that they have someone they can always rely on whether it be for support, love, or comfort. When parents can't be there 24/7, I like to be as close of a support system that I can be. I love looking at life through the lens of a child and I consider it a privilege to work along side kids. I have years of experience babysitting for children from my parish, neighborhood, and volunteer as camp counselor. A fun fact about me is that I lived in Madrid for 2 years.
