About Micole

From 2012 to 2016, I assisted my grandmother during her battle with stage 4 cancer, which she experienced twice and is now in remission. During this time, I played an active role in her care alongside my mother, who was her live-in CNA. I was responsible for transporting her to radiation and medical appointments, as well as planning and maintaining her medical schedule. This included coordinating treatments, managing medications, and ensuring timely communication with her healthcare providers. My experience reinforced my organizational skills and attention to detail, essential for providing comprehensive care. In addition to her cancer treatment, my grandmother continues to manage Type 2 diabetes. I administered finger sticks to monitor her glucose levels. This experience deepened my understanding of diabetic care, blood drawing techniques, and the importance of structured medical planning for chronic illness management.
