I'm a single mom, and a teacher, who is looking for extra work to get my daughter through her last two years at Michigan State. I've helped a friend's 92-year-old mother, who is a brittle diabetic and is going blind, with shopping, companionship and meal preparation. She is going down to Florida to spend some time with her son and I'm looking for another similar job. Since I'm a teacher, I've been fingerprinted and background checked. And since I'm a kindergarten teacher, I know how to care for people :) Teaching is a second career for me. My first career was as a dietitian in a nursing home, so I can offer nutritional advice, as well. School gets out at 3:30, so I'm available through the week for evenings and anytime on the weekends.
