About Michelle

I have cared for infants & toddlers since I was in middle school & worked for a nanny agency on Maui in highschool. I was then trained at a Reggio Emilia inspired CDC in PDX as an early childhood development teacher. After 3 years I left to become the nanny for a 5-month-old girl for two years. My child development practices are RIE, non violent communication & skill development, learning through discovery & play, & teaching/expressing care & respect in every action & communication. I work with infants & toddlers, through interaction/play/exploration, to gain awareness, knowledge & confidence by shining light on how we move in the world as individuals & as part of a community. I am passionate about practicing fun, trust-building & respectful ways to interact, to lay the groundwork for a self regulated, aware, respectful & empathetic human to flourish. My main joy is in helping young humans develop healthy habits, healthy relationships, & the tools and desire for self-care & self love.
