I have a nursing bachelors degree and prior to nursing had worked for Roanoke Memorial Hospital as a safety sitter caring for patients who were a threat to themselves or others, including many dementia patients. My personnel reviews said I was very soothing. I'd describe my personality as enthusiastic, calm, reliable. I like caring for seniors because I value them and know they have much to offer in a friendship. I'm looking for a job that makes me feel like I am contributing to a patient's quality of life, that allows me the opportunity to get to know them and their families, and that does not have the stress of nursing in a business setting. I started caring for seniors four years ago when I was in nursing school. In my spare time, I like to exercise, cook, watch movies, hike, do puzzles, and have occasional adventures. One thing you should know about me is I'm kind. My skills include nursing duties, soothing demeanor, and making seniors feel valued.
