I have ample experience caring for people with disabilities. I worked for two summers at an overnight camp for kids, teens, and adults with disabilities. While there, I planned and ran recreational activities for the campers and provided technical personal care. I have also provided respite care for two teenage boys on the spectrum. I took the boys for walks and social outings, played games, read books, accompanied their families on day trips, and otherwise provided supervision and personal care. Currently, I am working as a teaching assistant in an elementary ILC program. I am very passionate about working with people with disabilities. I love finding new ways to connect with and promote growth in the kids I care for. I am patient, kind, and love having fun with the kiddos!
