As a veteran special education teacher and transition coordinator, I have worked with secondary students and young adults with a wide range of capabilities in class support, resource and learning center biology and in an 18-21-year-old self-contained workplace readiness. I have also served as a Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) trainer and believe in positive behavior supports and restorative practices. I'm well versed in transition law and can easily help parents navigate the transition out of high school process. I've also been running an adult socialization group for former students to keep them connected with each other and within their community. I recognize the need and value for family respite and am happy to provide assistance.
