I have a 4-year-old Golden Retriever, Birdie, who is my millennial child substitute. She's an excellent companion for just about anyone, and generally submissive when she meets a new friend. She likes playing tug with stuffies if she can find a friend who's into the game. Since she's been around we've taken to caring for several other dogs - retrievers and berners being our soft spot! In 2022, Birdie had 12 golden puppies so I cared for a whole litter plus our other pup at the time, and a very tolerable kitty. It was crazy, but fun. I make sure the doggos are very active, with at least two walks a day, and usually try to make one of them extra fun like going to the water or driving to a trail. Plus, Birdie is a ball dog, so we are constantly outside playing. I want your pup to comfortable and happy while you are away.
