I have been privileged to work with kids from a few different age groups. My precious neighbors had 2 girls at the age of 6 and 8. I would usually watch them after school and on weekends when it was required. I would take the girls to the park mostly because of how close it was to us. If the conditions weren't as nice, I would always try to do some sort of arts and crafts activity to help pass the time. I also happen to have a 2 1/2 yr old. She is sweetheart, great, with other kids and I happen to have her in day care, so it will not conflict with working with your children. On weekends, if you are okay with it, I might need to bring my daughter with me. Not always, just some days.
