In my 20s for 7 years I worked in a group home with varied ages and varying disabilities. From autism to cerebral palsy to G2 to autism to full body casts etc I was part of the team that provided round the clock care provided ADLs cooking cleaning outings bathing and general companionship along with doctor's appointments and things such as that. I was considered a residential instructor. From there I went on to work with the homeless who also had a variety of issues for another 7 years. This by fire were the most enjoyable jobs I've ever had and they were hardly considered jobs. Everybody was part of my family. I am now doing caretaking work after I had my son and he is now turning 18. So I'm looking for some part-time work and the fields that I love. I would love to hear from you.
