About Michele

I am passionate about youth development and I enjoy helping students to achieve their academic goals. I believe the best way to do that is to increase their confidence in their work by making the interaction enjoyable and by setting goals that are achievable, yet balanced by challenge. I have 3+ years of experience as an Instructional Assistant at an elementary school working with students as a one-on-one aid, in a Special Day Class, and in small group settings in Learning Recovery, and after-school tutoring. I've helped students who need extra academic support from K-6th grades. K-2nd grade support has primarily been focused on phonics, while 3rd - 6th support has been in math. I have two children, one who is a freshman in college, and one who is a freshman in HS.
