I have many years experience volunteering in nursing homes and assisted livings. My grand parents all died by the time I was eight so I have always found it very special to bond with, help, and spend time with the elderly population. I have always taken to those with dementia. When I volunteered, I always requested to spend time on the dementia locked unit which was very meaningful to me. I would love to be a companion and be helpful in anyway I can!!
