About Michael

I'd describe my personality as Engaging Humorous Caring I like tutoring because I can personalize the education style to the way the kids learn best. I'm looking for a job that I can mentor and educate kids on science course material and how to pursue a career in science. I started tutoring when I was in graduate school. In my spare time, I like to enjoy time with my family which mostly includes run around after my 5 yo son. One thing you should know about me is I am a big proponent of mental health and the harms the can come from over scheduling. Burnout, anxiety and other issues can all be avoided by learning to balance learning with productive downtime. My skills include -Connecting with people -Experience in working with kids at many levels of Education (high school tutor, undergraduate mentor, college professor, laboratory supervisor) -Breaking down complex concepts into more easily understood pieces
