About Michael

I love working with kids for many reasons. They force me into the present moment. It's amazing to watch them learning and growing as little humans, and they remind us adults how to question things, dream, and play. I'm looking for a job that allows me to leverage my personality and skills in a way that's mutually beneficial to my employer. Over the years, I've learned I'm at my best when I'm working with people and in situations where there's shared values and respect. I started working with kids as a teenager in high school, when I worked at my local YMCA as a mentor/tutor for their after-school program for younger students. In my spare time, I like to stay busy! I love fixing things and am usually working on projects for my apartment. I also love sports and being outdoors. I'm ambitious, curious and always looking for new ways to improve myself and my surroundings. My top 3 child care skills are listening, anticipating needs and providing a safe and fun support system.
