Hi, I'm Mike! I am a 30-year-old special ed teacher living in Rocky Hill. I have been working in special ed for 9 years, specializing in adolescents (age 11-21) with challenging behaviors. I was a founding member of The Mill School in VT, a cutting edge school for this population. I currently teach math and science at Venture Academy in Meriden, to the same population. The challenges I support most often relate to: trauma, personality disorders, ASD, ADHD, ODD, depression, and anxiety. I am PMT trained to safely manage violent outbursts. For fun I like to play guitar, read, play Magic, rock climb, ski, and do yoga. I am available for mentorship, tutoring, or babysitting.
