About Michael

Hello! I'm Michael DelMuro, a high school English teacher with 19 years of experience specializing in literature, writing, and reading comprehension. My students consistently succeed in the IB program thanks to my engaging, supportive teaching style. I hold a BA in Journalism from CSU Fullerton and an MA in Professional Writing from USC, blending storytelling with effective instruction. As a parent to a neurodivergent child, I bring empathy, structure, and creativity to every session. I help students strengthen reading and writing skills, improve comprehension, and build confidence. I'm based in Azusa but will travel. I have pre-made curriculum to help high school juniors with their personal statements.
