About Mia

I am originally from Boerne, TX. I am also a recent graduate of Texas Tech University. My job experience includes having been a Certified Nurse Aide at a nursing home from June 2021 to August 2021. My experience with children comes mainly from volunteering at a special needs summer camp in Center Point, TX called "Camp C. A. M. P." Over my summers here, I took care of children and adults with special needs over a 5-day period through providing physical, emotional, and medical help. These include feeding, bathing, grooming, dressing, putting down for bed/naps, and interacting through activities such as swimming, painting, gaming, and more indoor and outdoor activities. Through my summers of volunteering, I felt I immensely grew my experience and skills in interpersonal communication, one-on-one interactions, physical and emotional care, and I learned to be more attentive to even the smallest changes in my camper's physical or emotional demeanor.
