About Mia

Growing up as the only child interested in pets, I learned to care for my animals' nutrition, veterinary, and training needs. After conquering the care of my chickens, rabbits, and reptiles, I was ready for a dog. At just 8 years old, I worked as a dog walker to convince my parents I was ready for a dog of my own. When they agreed, I learned how to train my puppy myself. Since then, I have continued to expand my knowledge of animal behavior to ensure effective, positive-only training practices (which I use with horses, as well). My invaluable experience through pet-sitting, and also as an owner myself, makes me confident in my pet-sitting and training services. I know I wont ever be able to love your pet like you do, but I will try my best to make them feel equally at ease! For boarding requests - due to the nature of my weekday job, I cannot take boarders M-Fri morning, but am happy to watch your pup, assuming they are cat-tested and cat-friendly, Fri night through Sun evening!
