About Mia

Hello! My name is Mia, I've helped children in school with the following: Science, Animal Education, Math, History and English. As someone who struggled with ADD and not diagnosed until I was a junior in high school, I understand the major struggles of not remembering strategies in school curricular the way the teacher explains it and have had to find my own understanding of how to solve problems, takes notes and memorize techniques that have been able to successfully help me. With my academic turn around, by the time I reached my senior year of high school I was still able to obtain a scholarship for my grades and even got the opportunity to attended a university for veterinary medicine. I would love the opportunity to tutor and help any students who feel frustrated with knowing they can do the work but not understanding how to get started!
