About Mia

Hello Care families; my name is Mia! I grew up in the Midwest but have been on the east coast for six years now. I attended the University of Maine for the first four years and earned a B. S. in Marketing and Management. After that, I moved here to live in Brooklyn, trying to determine my next steps. I realized my passion for working with children is my way of making the future brighter and is something I'm more inspired by than business; this led me to return to school for a Master of Arts in Teaching. Experience-wise, growing up starting in my teens, I had paid and volunteer experiences coaching children ages 5 to 13 in track and field and volleyball. More recently, I was an assistant/lead teacher in a preschool classroom, working with children ages 1 to 4, where I gained knowledge on creating personalized curricula. My goal with my Care profile is to connect with families and earn more city experience while I continue working on my degree!
