About Mia

Biology student at the University of Southern California '28. I attended Flintridge Preparatory and took AP Gov, AP US History, AP Bio, AP Statistics, and AP Lit. Additionally, I am one of 6 siblings. I have a lot of patience and always work to create a safe, fun, and comforting environment. My average rate is 17/hr, so that extra help is accessible to all who need it. As a tutor, I try and prioritize, making sure the student genuinely understands the concepts. I've worked with students with ADHD and dyscalculia and understand the importance of patience and persistence. I will create an environment where the student feels comfortable to speak out when they are confused and ask questions. I have been a tutor for two years, and worked as an assistant teacher at STEAM Coders, for a year. My dedication to academic excellence has earned me internships at LA City Zoo, Occidental College, and more.
