About Mia

I am an outdoor educator at The Ecology School in Saco, Maine, and I'm currently looking for some work during our off-season. I'm currently studying to be a high school science teacher and I love getting kids excited about science. I've been through the whole rigorous college prep school to top University pipeline (I attened UChicago for one academic year before realizing that it was a poor fit for my goals), and I am a capable tutor for middle and high school children, especially in Science and English. I'm also Gen-Z and capable of relating to the struggles of being a student right now. I have a lot of experience crafting homework plans for kids dealing with mental health barriers like Anxiety and Depression. I have also worked a lot with special needs children (specifically high-impacted ADHD and kids on the autism spectrum). This training applies to working with all kids as well; I'm uniquely trained for conflict resolution and getting to a point of connection and understanding.
