About Mia

I have a bachelors in Biology from Sac State and will be attending the DVM program at UC Davis fall 2024 to become a veterinarian. I currently work at a vet hospital and have experience handling both cats and dogs in their not so favorite environment. I was in charge of boarding making sure pets were comfortable, providing enrichment, and giving them love and care. I currently have a Golden retriever/border collie mix. I'd describe my personality as collected, kind, caring. I started working with animals when finally old enough to volunteer at the animal shelter. Then I moved into mobile vaccines clinics for cats and dogs before moving to a private veterinary practice for small animals. I have also volunteered at a horseback riding facility for children (Project R. I. D. E in Elk Grove) In my spare time, I like to hike, hang out with my pup, watch anime, and bake. My skills include dog walking , amazing pets, and observant eyes (from working in the veterinary field).
