About Mertie

I'm available starting mid February 2025. I'd describe myself as mature, compassionate, appreciative, good-natured, and hopefully funny. I like caring for seniors because I enjoy making their lives easier and fulfilling. I actually like figuring out ways to make their lives better and having them enjoy our time together. My skills include 20 years of elder care experience in multiple settings, including hands-on care as well as the overview and management of client care plans. I have extensive experience as a liaison with medical providers and have managed medications and care/testing schedules. My communication with elders is compassionate, intuitive, and patient, especially with those with dementia. I'm successful in providing a safe, interesting and fun environment. I have strong organizational and research skills, and an abundance of patience and true care. Because of my experience and expertise, I have provided consulting services to people who care for loved ones.
