Caring for those with any type of special needs is a passion of mine and has been my whole life. I was introduced to those with special needs almost immediately in my life as my brother whose only 13 months younger than me was diagnosed at an early age with Autism. Through the years I have volunteer in many activities such as special Olympics with him and eventually became a swim instructor and ice skating instructor for those with mental and physical disabilities. My family has been thoroughly involved with the special needs community in my home in Massachusetts and created a non-profit special needs hockey team called the East Coast Jumbos that travels and has excelled over the last few years. I just love and enjoy spending time with my brother and his peers (both male and female) as well as seeing them and helping them progress in skill and pure joy.
