About Merissa

My name is Merissa and I'm a junior at Guttman College studying psychology with the goal of becoming a child psychologist. I've always been fascinated by how children think and grow, which is why I'm so passionate about my studies. I've gained hands-on experience working with kids in different roles, including at Sprout Brooklyn and Oasis Summer Camp, where I helped preschoolers with various activities. Currently, I work with kindergarteners at the Trail Blazers after-school program supporting their development through fun educational activities. I also have years of babysitting experience, from high school to now. Occasionally watching my cousin Jen's kids and even being a nanny during my senior year of high school. Outside of my work with children, I love reading, writing, crocheting, and going on walks. I'm always up for trying something new, whether it's a book, a hobby, or an experience because I love expanding my horizons and learning along the way.
