About Meredith
Experience: 10 yrs
I have over 20 years of professional experience caring for children, primarily infant and school-aged. I have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, play guitar and piano, and love to put an emphasis on creative learning. Some activities I've done with children include: art, crafts, story time, poetry/rhyming, music time, nature walks (learning about flower/tree types), treasure hunts (using clues to find objects), and puzzle solving. I would be available for homework help/tutoring, including foreign languages. I am able to prepare meals, including healthy foods, allergen-free, and vegetarian/vegan. I have been a CPR & First Aid instructor for the American Heart Association for 13 years, and teach these classes regularly at my classroom in Fort Collins and throughout Colorado. Currently I am a part-time nanny for an amazing family in town and have worked for them for 9 years. I am only available for occasional care and special events. Meredith is an amazing caregiver. She's been working with us for several months and we just love her! Unfortunately she's moving; we're so sad to see her go (but glad for her opportunity of course!). We don't trust our son to many people and we immediately knew our son was safe - and happy - with Meredith. She brings her creativity and passion for healthy living into our home; we really appreciate that and our son loves it and benefits from it. She also drives him to/from swimming class. Meredith is simply wonderful; here are a few "key words" of some things she's done with/for our son: guitar/music, cucumber water, painting, nature journal, sock puppets... Our son always looks forward to time with Meredith and we look forward to knowing he's completely safe and happy!
