About Melody

I enjoy working with kids because they are so fun to watch as they grow and learn about this world. I see their interests and knowledge expand every day. I'm looking for a job that meets the needs of the family and myself well. I would like to provide care while keeping my own 1-year-old with me. I am comfortable with caring for up to 5 - 6 children at a time. I have 4 children, though the older 3 are teens - young adults. I have also fostered, so I am used to having 5 - 6 kids in tow. I started working with kids when I was 13. I babysat throughout the entire summer, starting in middle school, and became a camp counselor in high school. After having my first child, I became a RN and started doing pediatric home care nursing, which I have done for the past 18 years. My specialty is caring for kids with disabilities and medical needs.
