Throughout my middle school and high school career I've taken classes and did volunteering to help me understand the requirements of aiding someone with special needs . In middle school, I attended a peer mediating class to work alongside a counselor and solve students conflicts with one another. It gave me the understanding of how people think, giving me lots of perspectives. Other events, such as working with adults who struggled with autism, gave me the opportunity to strengthen my ability to be patient and empathetic. I then took all these traits to the Mills Peninsula Hospital where I volunteered and was able to aid patients with their needs. In school, I took AP Biology to learn the chemistry aspect of mental illness and other disorders. I also took part in the Red Cross community, and attained my CPR license. Being educated on what needs to be done, as well as a refreshed mindset, I can be the best care provider for your loved ones :)

Melody has watched my 2 sons more than twenty times now, and I would 100% trust her with children. My younger son has Asperger's and she is absolutely great with him. Her strengths are board games, teaching them how to play games, open ended play, and engaging with kids. She has a quiet and calm demeanor which is a good fit for my household.
