About Mellanie

When asked why I created a profile on Care. com it was an easy answer... I love caring for people. I believe one of the greatest purposes in life is helping others experience life especially when it gets difficult or is impossible for them to do it themselves. Caring has come in many forms over my life from helping my grandma with dementia after she had her first stroke to assisting young mothers learning to care for their newborn babies to assisting those recovering from surgeries or injuries to those who need a hand. Duties in the past include: assisting in bath, helping others take walks, simply talking, playing games, watching movies or game shows, singing hymns, administered medicine, food prep, driving to appointments or shopping, random errands or spending time in the garden. One of the reasons I am able to assist so well is that I am patient, easy going, and a good listener. I have a love and compassion for all, from newborns to the elderly... it just comes naturally me.
