About Melissa

I have been a preschool teacher for over 10 years. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and certificate in VPK. Single mom of two girls in middle school and college. I'm available weekday mornings and early afternoons. I'd describe my personality as fun, loving and hardworking I like tutoring because I love to watch kids learn and grow both physically and mentally I'm looking for a job that will make an impact on someone I started tutoring when I was watching my neighbors kids after school and I would help them with their homework. In my spare time, I like to go to the beach or the mall with my girls One thing you should know about me is I treat each child as if they are one of my own and care for them physically and emotionally My skills include helping children learn to read and write. I have patience and try different ways of teaching. Examples, different genres of books and different methods of writing( sand, writing boards, tracing, etc)
