Our family hired Melissa to start work on a certain date and a week before she changed her mind. We worked together on scheduling the actual dates because our full time CG was having surgery and it took a bit to put it all together. I had to make changes and she made change's because of circumstances so I thought everything was in order until til I asked her would she rather start a little later in the month. I made it clear it was only an inquiry and that it was up to her and the schedule would remain in tact if she was good with it. She sent me a message and said she would not be available anymore. This put our family in a hardship and after apologizing over and over she quit anyway.
