I have 32 years experience working in senior home health care. I have my Home Health Aid, CPR/First aid certifications and a registered IHSS provider. Also Certified Nursing Assistant before I decided to return to home health care. I can provide excellent references. Both professional and personal. I have worked with a wide range of health conditions including Alzheimer, dementia and stroke, and experience with equipment such as a Hoyer lift, CPAP. Also with medication management, bathing, toileting, and meal preparation. I have worked with physical/speech/ occupational therapist. Provide transportation to appointments, as well as grocery shopping and miscellaneous errands. I enjoy my work very much, but in my off time I enjoy riding my bike along the Sacramento river and fishing with my better half!

Melissa joined our family just after my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer 5 years ago. After moms surgery We wanted to her home and in order to do that we needed the most skilled caregivers to help manage her Foley catheter and her chest tubes and all other specialty medical equipment. Not only was Melissa highly skilled she was loving, caring and empathetic. Melissa quickly became more than a caregiver she is part of our family and always will be. After 5 years as my moms caregiver, we had to place mom in a facility that had 24 hour care. So unfortunately we could no longer Keep her. Melissa is the best caregiver anyone could imagine. She moved into our home and put her own health at risk when my mother caught Covid because she wanted to make sure mom would be okay. While all other caregivers were taking off, Melissa never left my mother. Just thinking about how well she cared for my mother brings tears to my eyes. My kids love Melissa and my pets love Melissa. Most of all my mother and I love Melissa. If you get a chance to bring her on as a caregiver in your home consider it a blessing. As an RN for over 25 years I know what to look for in caregivers and Melissa by far exceeds any expectations of a caregiver. Even though she is no longer our caregiver she is my mothers alternate emergency contact and this will remain forever.
