About Melissa

I have had the privilege to work with children in various capacities for the past 20 years. I have had the pleasure of volunteering in our church nursery with children ages s mos to 3 years for the past 10 years. This is an age group I truly cherish and love spending my time with! After raising my kids as a stay-at-home mom for 15 years, I have spent the past 8 years working as a special education teaching assistant within a public school setting. The primary age groups I worked with were kindergarten and 1st grade, helping students succeed both academically and socially in their day-to-day lives. We have two sweet cats and one very spoiled rescued chihuahua. In my free time, I love to walk and play at the beach, go for nature walks and bike rides.
