About Melissa

In short, I am a "retired" home-school mom/teacher. I have 25+ years of experience with my own 5 children and several years of experience tutoring children, running a free summer reading program for early readers, and coming alongside home-school/virtual-school parents to provide foundational academic support for their children throughout the school day. Recently, I started a small company, in which I served as an academic coach to struggling high school and middle school students as an academic coach. Services included teaching and reinforcing executive function skills, providing prompts for homework assignments, and navigating a student's educational, online platforms in order to act as a one-point contact between a student's parent and their schoolwork. I no longer have my company due to an out of state move, but I am looking for opportunities to serve in the same way here in Las Vegas.
