About Melissa

I started off my career working as an in home health aid for the developmentally disabled. In this job I did medication management, including blood sugar and insulin. I assisted in bathing, clothing and feeding the clients. I also took the clients to their appointments and out for recreational activities. I then went back to college to became a licensed psychiatric Technician. Part of my training was working in elderly care homes performing Nursing Assistant type duties. I also worked in a retirement home, which involved supervising ADL activities and Recreation. I then became a licensed psychiatric technician and worked as an LPT in a hospital for 10 years. I am a happy and stable wife and mother and I very much enjoy workinv with the elderly. I would love a job where I could be a companion for an elder adult who needs it, while also overseeing whatever care they need.
