About Melissa

My experience in childcare has been great. It has pushed me to be a better person as a whole, maintain healthy and stable connections between the child, myself, and the parent(s). I enjoy being around children and taking care of them. I like to sing and engage in fun extracurriculars where I either learn something of worth, or a new skill. I can be serious when it is called for, and will draw a line at certain activities. I can cook, and bake so long as there is a recipe to follow. If a child has certain food sensitivities or allergies, I always take that into consideration and prepare food that best suits their palate, whilst also fulfilling their nutritional needs. I also have a B. A. in English Studies and currently applying to start the Teaching Credential program in English. I have knowledge in curating lesson plans, and additional curriculums for student learning.
