From the time I was in middle school, I've been helping peers to understand homework. In addition to that experience I have about four years of paid experience. In 2006 to 2007, I tutored a middle school girl in all subjects, adjusting to her pace as needed. I had planned on becoming a math teacher at that point, and enjoyed the experience greatly. From June to November 2012, I worked with an 8-year-old girl as a private tutor for about 6 hours each day. We worked through 2nd grade, so that she could start 3rd in home school partially through the year. It was amazing to watch her learn. After that I was a nanny for a 4-year-old girl who I tutored in handwriting, piano, and reading. In September, at the close of that job, I started work in an after-school program through which I tutored elementary age students in every subject. I also worked with our high school interns tutoring for the SAT and homework assignments. Most recently, I tutored a 3rd grade boy and his mother in math.
