I am 50 years old and have been a caregiver for over 20 years. I only do home care now because it allows me to help people remain in their homes as long as possible while retaining as much independence as possible. It also allows for one on one care which gives me the opportunity to get to know them and learn about their lives and to provide the specific care they need. I have taken care of people with alziemers, stroke patients, diabetics, hospice and many other conditions. I was a licensed CNA for more then 10 years in the state of Alaska and CPR/first aid certified. I have experience with lifts and with transfers. I truly enjoy caring for people and giving them the best care possible, providing comfort, companionship and as much happiness as possible for them.
