About Melissa

First, I feel that it is important to describe my personality. I am most often described as a patient, nurturing, and friendly person. I consider myself to be all of those things. I also feel that I am very personable and friendly. I am loyal and hard working. I put 100% into all that I set out to do. Children and their families are my true passion. I have been in the early child care field for over 17 years. I currently work for a non profit organization in Denver, CO. My day there is spent in the birth to 3-year-old department. I have training and some formal education in early childhood. I work closely with the children and families that I serve and consider myself a partner in their education. I have a great understanding of how children develop from birth and how to plan fun and appropriate activities for them. Although I have many tasks and responsibilities during my day, I feel that I spend most of it engaged with children and smiling at all of their wonder. I believe that I can work with children of any age. I have worked with families of all cultures, economic backgrounds and abilities. I look forward to having the opportunity to give all of my attention and devotion to one family. I would be happy to share any other information that I have left out.
