About Melissa

Hello! I am looking forward to serving you and your children! My experience with children comes from having been a solo babysitter for large families and a Children's Ministry Leader at 2 churches for a total of 5 years. I absolutely love getting know each kid as an individual, and learning the best ways to keep them thriving in their environments. I would describe my personality as cheerful, energetic, and outgoing I like working with kids because I enjoy taking care of people, and having once also been a kid, I can understand their needs and expectations. In my spare time, I like to read, hike, and spend time with my husband. One thing you should know about me is that I operate under the understanding that each child is unique, and their special qualities are things to be encouraged, not muted. My skills include encouraging them in active play and conversational skills, self care, and their own emotional regulation. All manner of housework as well!
