About Melissa

I have been in childcare for around 6 years now, I study child development, psychology, and Holistic health. When I lived in New York I was on call sitter for about five families in my neighborhood that I accumulated all through word of mouth. I have worked with kids of all ages as young as 3 weeks old to 12 years old. I love spending time outside, going on walks, teaching, crafts and science projects! I am looking for either a temp gig, date night sitter, part time gig or as-needed. I have 3 letters of reference from previous families I have a ton of experience with new parents and I totally get how uncomfortable it is to go out for the first time so l am happy to relieve any anxieties with extra introductions being on camera. Open communication is essential so I send regular updates to parents throughout our time together. I am most comfortable with gentle parenting approach. With my diverse skill set, I'm happy to assist with cooking, meal preparation, and even swimming supervision.
