I took care of my sister-in-law for 19 years. They have down syndrome. She had a shunt in her chest that I had to administer medication through for almost a year took her to all her doctors appointments at MUSC she lived to be 37 years old and the doctors told us she would only live to be five. She passed away from congestive heart failure. I'm so glad that I was the one chosen to take care of her. She sure was a blessing. I've also helped with the few children. There were ADHD and I work for my mother-in-law for five years. She had a in-home daycare.
