About Melissa

My name is Melissa. I am 25 years old and am currently attending an occupational therapy program at Stony Brook University. I have worked with kids of various ages at a summer camp and I have also helped watch my little cousins whenever a babysitter was needed. I spent an entire summer watching two kids from 8 to 6 and also sporadically babysit for that same family. I have experience creating and teaching lesson plans to children in my undergraduate education courses. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I consider myself to be very responsible and I do not mind doing any extra cleaning or cooking for the kids. I have my own transportation as well. I love all types of animals and would not mind watching over pets. I have had dogs my whole life and have had experience watching other family's dogs. I will be completing fieldwork for my graduate program from September until the end of November/start of December. However, I am more than happy to work weekends.
