About Melissa

I'd describe my personality as reliable, diligent, and kind I like tutoring because I enjoy working with children and I really love to teach children how to read and watch their progress. I'm looking for a job in which I can teach young children how to read using knowledge of phonograms as the foundation for their reading skills. I started teaching 10 years ago. I am a certified teacher who has worked with Kinder through third grade. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, ride bikes, and do yoga. One thing you should know about me is I have an extensive knowledge on teaching young children to read. I have been in the field of education for 10 years which has helped give me a lot of insight on how to teach children. I have also homeschooled my own children for four years, which has helped me learn a lot about teaching young children to read.
