About Melissa

Children have always been a part of my life and caring for them came naturally to me. I have cared for children of many different ages from newborn to 13 years old. Sometimes on a regular scheduled basis and sometimes just every now and then when needed. In total, I have about 9 years paid experience with multiple children. While caring for these children, I have helped with chores around the house as well as small errands every now and then. Including running to the dry cleaners, grocery store and to and from schools. To me, part of caring for children is them having fun and incorporating educating activities. One activity I believe really helps them use their imagination and they really enjoy is painting, whether their finger painting, painting with water colors or using any type of instrument. I look forward to working with different families in the future but would love to find a family I can be a part of for a long time.

Melissa was a blessing to our family and one of the best care takers I have had for my little one (at the time our daughter was 15 months old). She had been with us for about a year and quickly became part of the family. She was always on time and dependable. She is someone who can follow direction, stick to a schedule, provide stern but loving attention to your child while helping them play educational games (she taught our daughter shapes, colors and numbers without me even asking her to). Our daughter was my first child and I was very nervous to leave her with someone I didn't know. My nerves were quickly put to ease. I could tell she truly loved my daughter. Her confidence is a testament to the amount of experience and success she has had with her previous families. We tried to make her move with us but (unfortunately for us) she declined our offer. Any family is lucky to have her watch their children!
